Cleaning make-up brushes 101

So we all have several make-up brushes for different purposes don't we? But did you know that these brushes should be cleaned regularly? While it may seem so trivial, it is important. If you think about it, we apply and re-apply our make-up day in and day out so it only makes sense that they will get caked up with old make-up, oils and even dirt! This leads to clogged pores and break-outs. Who wants that? We have enough issues ladies!
Ok don't panic! Help is on the way...
It's a quick, easy and painless process that you will notice the difference right away on your soon-to-be healthy, glowing skin.
First know that there are daily brush cleaners and sprays out there you can find at your local beauty store which are great for spritzing on your bristles for a quick refresher. However, a once a week deep cleaning is always advised by beauty experts.

1)Run your bristles under lukewarm water and loosen them up by hand.

2)Use some type of clear shampoo and in a bowl or sink, dip the bristles.

3)Rinse under water again until the water runs clear.

4)Pat dry with a cloth and lay flat to completely dry.

Once you begin to do this regularly, you will notice a significant difference in your make-up application and on your skin.

  1. I need to do this! I usually replace mine, which is too wasteful!
